Aquaheat Small Unvented Storage Heaters are available in capacities of 7, 10 and 15 litres meaning a variety of commercial applications can be met, for example, low demand canteen use, dishwashing and handwashing. These units are very cost-effective to install and since they are unvented no additional vented taps are needed.

There is an up to 4% increase in the volume of hot water as it is heated, this increase must be accommodated within the system. With unvented water heaters less than 15.0 L this expansion can be accommodated within the supply pipes providing the following conditions are all met:
A. The maximum supply pressure is below 4.1 bar.
B. The minimum length of the supply pipework from the heater to the nearest cold draw-off is not less than that specified for the heater used.
C. The expansion in the cold water mains is not prevented or restricted by a stop valve, non-return valve, water meter or similar device.
If the pressure cannot be guaranteed to stay below 4.1 bar then Kit ALK04, which includes a pressure reducing valve, non-return valve and an expansion vessel is needed for safe installation.
If the mains cold water supply pressure is guaranteed to stay below 4.1 bar but any of the other conditions above are not met then Kit ALK05 is needed, which includes an expansion vessel and non-return valve.
